Applications will be light and focused on key project details. The process begins with a short letter of interest, outlining the following:
- Property location, size, and ecological significance
- Circumstances (i.e., pending sale, conservation urgency)
- Preliminary funding needs and fundraising timeline
If the proposal aligns with Aqueduct’s priorities, the Foundation will initiate a follow-up conversation with the land trust to discuss the following:
- The proposed funding structure and repayment plan
- Fundraising capacity over the next two to three years
- A contingency (“Plan B”) if the fundraising goal is not met
