ERA Explained
Aqueduct Foundation charges an Expense Recovery Allocation (ERA) to support the administration, governance, and stewardship of each fund. The ERA covers the cost associated with philanthropic support, grant processing, investments, and charitable activities.
The expenses of operating the Foundation are allocated to individual funds based on a sliding scale formula linked to the assets in each fund. The top ERA rate is 1.75 percent and decreases as fund assets grow. The rate is all-inclusive and designed to ensure high-quality service while maintaining cost efficiency for donors.
Aqueduct uses the charitable terminology of “ERA” and not fee because it owns all the funds after donations are made.
