Donor Advised Funds
Donors and Grant Advisors may recommend grants of any size, to any Canadian registered charity or qualified donee, at any time. Aqueduct is also available to help donors with charity research as part of their granting decisions.
Our relationship managers work with each donor to document their wishes for granting the remaining balance of the fund after their passing. Depending on the donor’s preferences, this may involve an immediate distribution of the capital, a planned spend-down period, or ongoing minimum annual grants.
Legacy Funds
Legacy Funds are established during the Donor’s lifetime to receive a future gift as part of an estate plan. No donations are required while the donor is alive.
A Legacy Fund may support named charities, named causes, receive recommendations from Successor Advisors or a combination of these options. Aqueduct’s legacy team carries out recommended grants on a discretionary basis, working with the recipients to ensure that the wishes of deceased donors are honoured after their passing.
